My objective in life, in work or play, is to achieve my full potential. I thrive in a challenging environment and I see every task as another opportunity to be creative and innovative. Civilian Experience
Webmaster, PSDesign
October 1998 - Present
Sole proprietor and web designer in advertising/promotions company. Responsible for all interaction with prospective and current clients. Creation of graphical user interfaces for web sites, in cooperation with graphic designer. Installation of web applications software. Experienced in: HTML and light programming of such languages as javascript, CGI, ASP, and PHP. Familiar with administration of Unix based web servers. Unix server experience includes file management, via the web and via command prompt, site traffic reports with Webalizer, and site/intellectual property security with robots.txt and .htaccess files, installation, customization, and management of CMS, blogging, and shopping cart software.
Achievements:
- Successful launch of e-commerce web site for PSDesign, with homemade items from New Energy Concept employees and colleagues, including t-shirts, toys, and stationery.
- On-line marketing campaign of local country bar, Lorie’s Lounge, including banner ad promotion and e-commerce web site, with affiliate programs.
- Completion of several on-line courses with Ziff-Davis University, including Internet Business Strategy, Building an Online Community, Internet Advertising, and Intro to UNIX.
- Successful organization and planning of local versions of the renowned Fray Day events, promoting local artists, writers, and musicians. Fray Day is an extension of the Fray.com website, an on-line storytelling venue. The Fray Day celebration of storytelling is an annual, global event. Guam participated in 2005 & 2006. Organization and planning of the event included directing volunteers in the processes of advertising, promoting, obtaining performers and sponsors, securing a venue location, and physical preparation for the night of the event.

Technical Support Specialist/Web Developer, IT&E Overseas, Inc.
April 2000 - November 2001
Creation, modification and termination of customer accounts, using Nifty Telnet and Better telnet, to access UNIX shell capabilities on the server. Phone-in and walk-in support for Internet/e-mail related problems for both Mac and PC users utilizing the following programs: Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Outlook 97, Outlook 98, Outlook 2000, Netscape Navigator, Netscape Communicator, Eudora Lite, Eudora Pro, Fetch FTP, and telnet.exe. Responsible for personal EOD/EOW reports of phone-in and walk-in support trends. Created a filing system for client records, including drafts of site design and site maps. Participation in pre-publishing web page reviews. Installation of ASP programs.
Achievements:
- Completion of highly reviewed Talaya tech guide, standard operating procedures for Tech Support Specialists, streamlining and standardizing functions in department.
- Completion of customer service courses including Dynamics of Communication and Quality Customer Service.
Secretary, EMCE, Inc.
December 1999 - April 2000
Responsible for all incoming, outgoing, and inter-office correspondence, including letters, faxes, memos, telephone conference reports, submittals, letters of submittals (with drawings), submittal reports, electrical submittal reports and all electronic mail correspondences. Programs utilized: Office 2000 and Eudora Pro. Responsible for minutes, for in-house and on-the-field meetings. Completion of quarterly inventory. Responsible for replenishing supplies, with cash or purchase orders submitted to stores on island and via the World Wide Web, using Netscape browser and e-mail programs. Daily errand runs.
Achievements:
- Participation in successful redesign of detailed and confidential filing system for over 30 clients, and over 200 construction projects, both in hard copy and in electronic format.
- Implementation of telephone customer service, improving communication between offices and clientele.
- Ability to performed duties of administrative assistant in her absence, including careful creation and examination of electrical specifications for submittal to prospective and existing clients.
Receptionist, Kuentos Communications, Inc.
September 1998 - September 1999
Assisting call-in and walk-in customers with cashiering and light tech support, with such software as CRT, Secure CRT, Better Telnet, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Netscape Communicator. Utilization of Microsoft Office in redesigning all inter-office documents; Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop for online and print advertising. Assisted with data entry duties for the GTA On-line Directory.
Achievements:
- Assistant editor in the successful implementation of a monthly newsletter for Kuentos customers.
- Assisted in setting-up and running the Speedy MIC Mail, Internet Cafe, and Copier Service in the Dededo Mall.
- Completion of a course in “Telephones Done Right” with Watson Communications, Inc.
